Lake Tahoe // Vacation Last Days

The last leg of our Spring Break vacation was quite a whirlwind through the icy mountain passes around Lake Tahoe! I developed a cold the day we ventured into the area & it left even some of the memories in quite a fog, but I do remember excellent food, awfully cold wind, & a stellar sunset at Bonsai Rock on the Nevada Side.

The day we arrived in Lake Tahoe we headed up to get a look at Emerald Bay before going to find Zephyr Cove where Hanna's parents got married! We ended the day with sunset at Bonsai Rock before trying to catch a movie, but retiring early to a motel once we realized all the campsites were closed for the season. I was too excited about the proposal in Yosemite, I guess I skimped on researching Lake Tahoe a bit! Our last day was spent slow & steady while getting tattoos & heading to Sacramento through a little blizzard. No photos of that part of the adventure obviously, but I looked pretty pathetic putting chains on our big adventure-van!
