Originally set for a full wedding day, venue & all on April 4, 2020, Lindsay & Chris realized they were going to have to change things up in the midst of a global pandemic. Their plans for a large gathering & friends/family traveling may have been postponed to later in the summer, but their plans to be married couldn’t be stopped!

Lindsay & Chris’s Planning, Julianne from Most Joyful Day, called to let me know the couple planned to have a small ceremony in their living room, live-streaming on Zoom for their family & friends, & I had to call to offer photos for them to have & hold this experience forever, & document their marriage in such a special way to show future generations. So here we are in the living room with their pastor making it happen, families on Zoom, & God above blessing the whole thing!

We began with a simple ceremony in the living room, but quickly found out their families & friends pulled a GENIUS level move by using photos of their living rooms as their virtual backgrounds on Zoom while they were secretly lining up a vehicle parade outside after the “I do’s!” It was the sweetest thing & felt so good to shed some tears of joy rather than anxiety or frustration during these crazy times. They followed up the surprise parade with a champagne toast, cake cutting, & even a first dance back in the living room.
