Spring Engagements // Upper Buffalo River
After a surprisingly busy Winter Season I’m excited that it’s finally time to get some people out into the sunshine, blooms, & flowing waters of Spring! Much like my last blog on Winter Weddings, this one will feature several couples that I got to hang out with throughout the season. The Buffalo National River is the common thread that ties these three sessions together. You’ll see a few familiar locations in different lighting that serve as backdrops for our adventures, but you’ll also see the broad spectrum of the type of locations that this area offers. This blog helps exemplify why I take so many couples to experience the Buffalo River during our shoots!
Emma & Brandon
February 24, 2019
Interestingly enough, I got linked up with Emma & Brandon through a giveaway at a Bridal Expo where I partnered with Buffington Homes! I don’t do many giveaways, but a friend at Buffington Homes came to me with the idea & it worked out beautifully. Emma & Brandon couldn’t have been more my style! This shoot is a perfect example of how great it can be when people let loose & aren’t afraid to be themselves in front of the camera. They really wanted to get to see a waterfall so we started at one of my favorites before heading back up the mountain to enjoy sunset. Best of both worlds!
Zoey & Luke
April 6, 2019
Zoey & Luke got to come adventure with us right when everything started blooming again, but right in between rain storms. We carefully planned the shoot around the rain, putting us near the Buffalo in the morning rather than my normal afternoon shoots, but who’da thought - we had bright sunny skies the whole time! This gave me a challenge in working with the harsher light, but also allowed us to explore & appreciate some places under fun/sunny conditions! After the shoot they joined my wife & I for lunch at the Low Gap Café who catered my wedding. SO glad we finally convinced a couple to stick around & check it out with us!
Katie & Rob
April 7, 2019
Katie & Rob came out to the Buffalo with us the very next day after Zoey & Luke. Their weather timing worked out almost the opposite! We expected a sunny sunset, but got mostly overcast afternoon skies. We ran with the vibe though & had an amazing afternoon. Katie works at one of my wife’s internship sites for Counseling, so we had plenty to talk about & connect over the entire day. I loved getting to meet these two & hear their story! Enjoy all the greenery we got to enjoy during this springtime shoot.
Thanks for making it all the way through! I hope you were inspired by or found a connection with any one of the photos featured here. If you’re looking to book some Summer, Fall, Winter, or even next Spring Engagements contact me as ASAP as possible!
