Hayley & Gram // Woodland Garden Wedding
Location: Hayley & Gram got married at the kind of location I've dreamed about since I was a kid, the Anthony Chapel at Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, AR. I say I've "dream about it since I was a kid" as if I was a little girl planning my future wedding, but what I mean is - I went to Garvan Woodland Gardens as a child at summer camp on a field trip. I remember seeing this crazy huge glass chapel & being in absolute awe. Ever since I started photographing people I have had this glass chapel in the back of my mind as somewhere I'd love to work. There are several chapels with similar architecture in our beautiful state & I hope to shoot at all of them! Their reception was at the Harp Williams Building in Downtown Hot Springs that was the perfect compliment to their woodland garden ceremony.
The Couple: I met Hayley & Gram for the first time as their supervisor at the University of Arkansas when I worked in Admissions. They were hired as two of our Orientation Mentors. They always seemed so at ease with one another & comfortable in their relationship, & that is honestly exactly how their big day played out. There were giddy nerves & huge smiles all day! Overall the entire wedding day felt so familiar & sweet. Their family treated Hanna & I as one of their own & I loved being a part of their day. Check out some highlights + some bonus 35mm film shot manually on Portra 400 at the end!
